5K Run/Walk Benefits Partners in Prime
The fourth annual 5k run/walk to raise awareness and support for area senior citizens is set for Friday, October 8 at 6:00 PM. Wake Nation, located inside Joyce Park, is the location for this year’s race, and the race is once again titled, ‘Oh My Achin’ Arches’. Cost to participate is $20 for an individual or $90 for corporate teams of five. Winners of the various age categories in the run division and walk division receive medals, and all runners and walkers receive a free t-shirt. The awards party features music and a beer garden, and participants can watch wake-boarders exhibiting their skills at the race. To sponsor this event, call Christy at 513. 867.1998. Participants can register online at www.sprunning.com until October 5. Special thanks to our presenting sponsor, Heritagespring and Barrington of West Chester, and to Wake Nation for hosting this year’s race. Need to stretch your budget? Stop in prime club Hamilton for a hot meal between 11:30-12:30 Monday-Friday for a nutritious hot meal. Diners under the age of 60 pay only $4.50 for lunch. For diners age 60 and over, we suggest a donation of $3.00 per meal, but noone over 60 is turned away for lack of ability to pay. Lunch is also available at the prime club Fairfield and prime club West Chester locations. Join us on Monday, August 9 for a ribbon cutting celebration at the new location of prime club Fairfield. The ribbon cutting, hosted by the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce, will be held at 12:30 PM, with an ice cream social immediately following. The public is welcome, and the new location is 5108 Sandy Lane.
