Hours of operation in Hamilton will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. beginning in January to better accomodate our members, ages 21 and older. Stop in after work to take advantage of an inexpensive gym membership . New fitness equipment is located on the second floor and evening classes are enrolling participants.
Partners in Prime receives Prius!
Partners in Prime employees and members celebrated the arrival of a new Toyota Prius Nov. 11. The senior organization won the car in a Facebook contest, 100 Cars for Good on July 28 for its Meals on Wheels program. The car will be added to a fleet of vehicles that range from 1994 to 2001 models. This new car will deliver approximately 80,000 meals over the next decade.

Pet food needed

Partners in Prime and Banfield Pet Hospital will be collecting dog and cat food through Dec. 31. Collection bins will be in the PetSmart stores at Bridgewater Falls and Voice of America shopping centers, as well as in each of the Partners in Prime locations in Hamilton, Fairfield and West Chester Twp. The food will be distributed to pets of some of the neediest Meals on Wheels recipients in Butler County. This partnership is through the Season of Suppers Campaign with the Banfield Charitable Trust. The organization has awarded Partners in Prime with two grants for $2,000 and $1,000 for purchasing and distributing the food. Partners in Prime’s Hamilton Location Expands Membership Age
Partners in Prime’s Hamilton facility is now extending affiliate memberships to people age 40+ and to children of prime club members age 21+, providing access to fitness equipment and affordable classes and wellness-related activities.
“We have many options for people who want to make a commitment to personal wellness,” said CEO Steve Schnabl. "This is becoming an affordable way for people to stop by after work to exercise or take a class."
Affiliate memberships cost $60 for 12 months, or $100 for a married couple. Members also receive access to health screenings, educational programs, recreational activities and special events.
Popular fitness classes are available at both day and evening times, and include: Jazzercise, Aerobics, Line Dancing, Ballroom Dancing, LEAN, Fit for Life, Tai Chi. Balance Class, Chair Exercise, personal training and small group training.

New Morning & Evening Fitness Classes for All Ages
LEAN – It’s a full body boot camp circuit training class that includes upper body, lower body, abs and cardio workouts. It’s led by certified fitness instructor Shawn Albers of Strong Foundations Fitness. Mondays, starting April 4, 10:00 – 11:00 AM. Cost: $8.00 per class.
Aerobics – This all purpose fitness class allows the participant to get a full body workout with an excellent cardio routine. It is a form of physical exercise that combines rhythmic aerobic exercise with stretching and strength training routines with the goal of improving all aspects of fitness. Thursdays, starting April 7, 11:15 AM – 12:15 PM. Cost: $8.00 per class.
Zumba Gold – This fitness program fuses Latin rhythms and easy to follow moves. Geared specifically to older adults. The routines feature interval training sessions where fast and slow rhythms and resistance training are combined to tone and sculpt the body while burning fat. Tuesdays, starting April 5, 11:15 AM – 12:00 PM. Cost: $5.00 per class.
Fit for Life – This class is a full body workout that will help with strength training, cardiovascular health, flexibility, balance and more. A trained fitness professional will be facilitating the small group training. Starting April 5, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10:00 – 10:30 AM. Cost: $10.00 per class.

Rides to see Loved Ones
Hospice of Hamilton is happy to be partnering with Partners in Prime Transportation in Hamilton. As a way for Butler County senior adults (age 62 and older) wanting to visit with friends or family members under hospice care at the Hospice of Hamilton in-patient unit, they can call Partners in Prime Transportation at 513.867.9195 to schedule a ride to and from the Hospice in-patient unit at 1010 Eaton Avenue. Hours of transportation service are during the weekday hours of 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM. A minimal monetary donation is suggested for this service. For more information, call Hospice of Hamilton (513.895.1270) or Partners in Prime Transportation (513.867.9195). Together we are building bridges in our community.
